Virginia "Ginny" Padasak

January 24, 1930 — October 19, 2022

Virginia Rose “Ginny” Padasak, 92 of Cambridge Springs, formerly of St. Marys, PA, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Edinboro Manor in Edinboro, PA.  She was born January 24, 1930 in Middletown, CT, the daughter of the late Frank and Lilly Adams.

Ginny was a dedicated wife, mother, aunt and friend to all.  In addition to raising her own children, she helped to raise a niece, Melody Girty, and nephew, Larry Padasak.  She could be counted on to feed the hungry kids in her neighborhood, as well as the many stray animals that crossed her path. Ginny loved all children and animals, with a special penchant for the lost and neglected.

Ginny enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, and crocheting hundreds of scrubbies.  Her delicious cinnamon rolls and apple pies were enjoyed by everyone that had the pleasure of sharing in the bounty of her kitchen. She loved flowers and had a knack for creating beautiful gardens wherever she lived. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she also sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Padasak in 1998; a brother, David Adams in 2014; her best friend and companion, John Anzinger in 2018; and her beloved Yorkie, Angel in 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (Jack) Kerlin of Cambridge Springs and Trudi (Wally) Hanes of St. Marys, and two grandchildren, Samantha Hanes (fiancé, Chris) and Jeremy (Michaela) Hanes. Her brother, John Adams of Kingsville, OH survived her, but sadly passed away just two days after Ginny.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Instead, she wants to leave you with this: “Don’t grieve for me…just remember the good times.”

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
