Richard Shelatz

December 10, 1961 — June 9, 2020

Richard S. Shelatz, 58, of Riverton,Wyoming, died at his home in Centerville. He was born in Meadville on December 10, 1961, the son of Valrie (Paul) Sauer, of Wyoming, and the late Richard J. Shelatz.

Richard graduated from Linesville High School in 1981. He went on to obtain certificates in electrical work and horticulture, and was an Eagle Scout. He was a member of Club Wyoming Star Mineral and Gem Society. He was a do-it-all man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He loved exploring the great outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Richard previously worked as an electrician, was the Maintenance/Environmental Manager for Morning Star Care Center, Production Manager at Munters Corp., and owner of R.S.S. Greenhouse and S & S Jewels.

In addition to his mother and step father, survivors include his daughter, Tiffany (Marty) Rutter, of Centerville; a son, Richard J. (Corey) Shelatz, of South Dakota; a step son, Nathan Skies, of Maine; a brother, Daniel ( Allyn) Shelatz, of Florida; a sister, Carrie (Colleen Gagne) Shelatz, of New Hampshire; also 5 grandchildren, Cyrus, Vila, and Steffen Shelatz, and Atreil and Brock Rutter. He is also survived by two former spouses, Lynnette Mancini and Martha Moreland.

No calling hours will be observed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
