Nancy Lesuer

Nancy L. LeSuer, 80 of Edinboro, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie on October 16, 1941, the daughter of the late Marion and Clara Krautter.

Nancy grew up in Franklin Center where she enjoyed going to dances at the Town Hall. She married her high school sweetheart, Wendell LeSuer in 1959. They lived near his family homestead in Franklin Township, then moved to Washington Township where they raised their three children, Theresa LeSuer of Edinboro, W. James (Laurie) LeSuer of Cambridge Springs and Timothy (Meg) LeSuer of Edinboro.

Nancy enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and many other crafts, creating many beautiful works of art. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughters.

Nancy worked several jobs over her lifetime, including Woods Dairy, Schuers Dairy, R.R. Walker & Son and driving school bus for General McLane. She also taught stained glass classes for many years at Krautter Custom Stained Glass with her brother and sister-in-law.

Nancy was a member of Franklin Center United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Edinboro Fire Department Auxiliary, and was also active in the Odd Fellows Edinboro Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell in 2018, and her brother, Virgil Krautter in 2003.

In addition to her children, Nancy is survived by her sister, Kathleen (Lewis) McArdle; sister-in-law, Susanne Krautter; four grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda) LeSuer, Katherine (Albert) Childs, Adam LeSuer and Jacob LeSuer; three great grandchildren, twins Abagail and Hannah, and Hazel LeSuer.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2 to 6 p.m. A service will be held there on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barb English officiating.
