Marshall Reed

April 29, 1931 — August 17, 2021

Marshall A. Reed, 90, of McKean, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA. He was born in McKean on April 29, 1931, the son of the late Oren and Martha Reed.

Upon graduating from high school, Marshall served in the US Army. He worked for General Telephone Company (GTE) as a switchman for over 30 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed puttering around his property, cutting firewood and building things to make everyday life easier. He was a long time member of McKean United Methodist Church.

Marshall was preceded in death by his wife, Anna, in 1997; his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Allyson Reed; and 3 brothers, Otis, David, and James (Danny) Reed.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Joy (Paul) Weidman, of Lebanon, PA and Marsha Reed of Rochester, NY; a sister, Marjorie (John) Wonner, of McKean; grandchildren, Matthew Weidman, and Amy (Daniel) Cannistraci; and great grandsons, Luke, Evan and Neil Cannistraci.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Friends may call at McKean United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 11a.m. until the time of a funeral service at noon.

Burial will be in McLane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McKean United Methodist Church. To send condolences please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com.
