Christy Gilson

Christy D. Gilson, 47 of Mercer, PA, died Friday, October 28, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Erie, PA on August 27, 1975, the daughter of Henry Ratay and Patricia Serge.

Christy graduated from West Middlesex High School and earned an Associate Degree from TriState Technical Institute in Erie.

She loved to hang out with friends and family around the fire and spend time with her cats.

Christy is survived by her parents, Henry and Terri Ratay and Patricia Gathers; her son, Dylan Gilson of New Castle, PA; 3 brothers, Ricky Gathers, Thomas Gathers and Tony Arkwright; 6 sisters, Jaime Hegedus, Wendy Berchtold, Colleen Arkwright, Theresa Gathers, Katie Gathers, and Kelly Dougherty.

No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
