Aimee Elva Doucette Rodak, 89, of Edinboro, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at home. She was born in Edinboro on May 31, 1931, the daughter of Aimé H. and Edith Doucette.
Aimee attended Villa Maria Academy and graduated from Edinboro State College in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Library Science, and a Masters of Education degree in 1979. Aimee worked as a librarian at Cathedral Preparatory School in Erie, PA from 1974-1991.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard R. Rodak in 2020; three sons, Richard R. Rodak, Jr. (1951-2011), Dr. Randall Rodak (1955-2008) and Ronald R. Rodak (1958-2006); a grandson, Michael P. Rodak (1979-2009); great granddaughter, Celestyn Grace Kurczewski (2010); and brothers, Forrest Doucette (2010), Ronald Doucette (2012) and Edward Doucette (2010).
Survivors include her son, Dr. Robert (Peggy) Rodak of Chicago; her daughter, Rhonda (Richard) Kurczewski of Waterford; a brother Robert (Julie) Doucette of Millvale, PA; 2 sisters, Eleonora Turnage of Lagos Vista, TX and Edith (William) Raun of Edinboro; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at McLane Church, 12511 Edinboro Road, Edinboro PA on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held there on Tuesday at 11 a.m. All CDC guidelines requiring face masks and social distancing will be in place.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
