Stanley P. Pekelnicky, 65, of McKean, died Saturday, August 24, 2013 at home.  He was born in Erie on May 8, 1948, son of Margaret Olesnanik Pekelnicky and the late Stanley A. Pekelnicky.
Stanley was a member of the Siebenbuerger club in Erie and the St. Francis Ushers Club.  He graduated form General McLane in 1966 and from Gannon College in 1971.  Stanley retired from Verizon in June 2012.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Rosemary Otteni Pekelnicky; three sons, Patrick Pekelnicky of Edinboro; Andrew Pekelnicky of McKean and Christopher Pekelnicky of Rochester, NY; one daughter, Karen Sturgin and her husband, Andrew, of McKean; seven brothers, Thomas Pekelnicky of Gibsonia, PA; Carl Pekelnicky of East Springfield, PA; Michael Pekelnicky of McKean; James Pekelnicky of McKean; John Pekelnicky of Edinboro; Joseph Pekelnicky of Edinboro and Robert Pekelnicky of Cranesville; three sisters, Susan Barry and her husband, William, of Fairview; Anne Sayers and her husband, Timothy, of Mill Village and Mary Lou McCray and her husband, Michael, of Corry.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 8880 West Main St, McKean, PA 16426 with Fr. Mark Nowak officiating.
Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to McKean Hose Company, 5011 School St., McKean, PA 16426, or Erie Regional Home Health Hospice, 3526 Peach St., Erie, PA 16508.
