Shirley Peters

Shirley May Peters, 82, of Edinboro, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Erie on Aug. 4, 1936, the daughter of the late Clarence W. and Edna Arndt.

She worked as an office manager for McCory's Store in Erie.

Shirley loved to go to garage sales, dine out and spend time with her family. She was always ready to lend a helping hand, and had kind words and a giving heart for everyone.

Shirley was a previous member of Trinity Lutheran Church in McKean.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell L. Peters in 2017; and two brothers, Bernard and Robert Arndt.

Survivors include 3 daughters; Joyce Peters of Erie, Sue (Rick) Gray of Edinboro, and Cyndi (Ron) Valimont of Cambridge Springs; also, 5 grandchildren, Dustin and Melissa Gray, Natasha Tucci, Danielle Pifer, and Destiny Valimont; and 6 great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Haily, Audri, Parker, Hudson and Ava.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Campbell officiating.
