McKean

Scott Gregory Gunter, 51 of Girard, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 16, 2023.  He was the son of John Kenneth Gunter (Jeanine) and Cheryl Robinson (Gunter).

Scott was a most caring person and would give anyone the shirt off his back.  For the past 7 years he worked for his lifelong friend, Marty Beal at C.W. Beal, Inc., a job he was honored to have. He enjoyed bowling, softball, playing darts at the Valley Inn and kayaking with his friends.  He also shared his love for hunting with his daughter, Ashley, and always looked forward to hearing from her after a hunt.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Brooklynn, Brandon and Bella.  He would light up and have the best of times when he was with his best friend and brother, Mark, and you could always count on a good time with him and his girlfriend, Kim, who he loved to camp and kayak with.

In addition to his parents, Scott will be loved and missed by his daughters, Kaylia Gunter (Corey Staudt and children) and Ashley Jones (husband Danny); his girlfriend, Kimberly Clapper; brother, Mark Gunter (wife Lyndsey Hass and children); sisters, Nicole Gunter (Matt Criley and children) and Michelle Gunter (Paul and children); cousin, Kenny Nelson (wife Laurie and children); Sherri Raffensburger (mother of his children); and all of his camping friends at Chattercreek Campground.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro is entrusted with funeral arrangements.

A Celebration of Life for Scott will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Francis Usher’s Club, 9085 Main St., McKean, PA.
