Roxie Cole

d. March 8, 2014

Roxie Lee (Rogers) Cole , who’s kind spirit and brilliant smile would always light up a room, of Edinboro, PA, was surrounded by loved ones when she peacefully passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 from lung cancer.
Her children are grateful and want to share that in her last moments, she was smiling. She will always be Foxy Roxie, who loved laughter, traveling, genealogy, boating, dancing, walking Abby on lakeside, playing cards and dominoes, but most of all, she enjoyed celebrating life with her family and friends. During her journey at Penn State Medical Center, Foxy was constantly told that she was their favorite patient because she always was so positive and had her big smile even though she didn't feel well. The oncology team told her that she was their poster child.
Daughter of Chelmer J. Rogers and Marian N. Orr, who preceded her in death, Roxie was born June 8, 1940 in Albion, PA. She graduated from Albion High School in 1958 and attended both Weber College (Florida) and Edinboro State College (Pennsylvania).
Roxie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Martin Cole.
She is survived by her children: Michael Wallace (Linda Wallace), Trenton, OH; Keri Wallace-Phillips (Alan Phillips) Bellefonte, PA; Brian Wallace (Richelle Wallace), Pittsburgh, PA; Erin Mouer (Chris Mouer), Winter Garden, FL; Heather Jablonski (Ray Jablonski), Fruitland Park, FL; Grandchildren: Michael Paul Wallace (Amanda Churchill), Hamilton, OH; Madison and Cole Mouer, Winter Garden, FL; Mikhail Ferree, Pittsburgh, PA; Patrick Phillips (Jessica Phillips), Virginia Beach, VA; Lindsay Phillips, Richmond, VA; Cheyenne Dean (Nathaniel Dean) (Honolulu, HI); Brian and Dana Heron, Fruitland Park, FL; David Cole (Trenton, OH); Great Grandson: Kieran Dean, (Honolulu, HI); and numerous cousins, including Billy Orr (Cheryl Orr), Medford, OR; Renae Lillie (Len Lillie), Conneaut, OH; Karen Chapin (James Desmone), Pittsburgh, PA; Beverly Chapin, Erie, PA; Bill Chapin, Erie, PA; Jan Bischoff (Barry Bischoff), Edinboro, PA; and Kelly and Chris Orr.
Friends are welcome to celebrate Roxie’s life, Friday, March 21, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Glunt Funeral Home: 210 Erie St, Edinboro, PA 16412. A service to celebrate her lifetime, will be there on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 a.m., lead by Rev. Lisa Grant.
