Rosanne “Rose” Harnois, 56, formerly of McKean, PA, died Friday, September 11, at her home in Willow Springs, NC. She was born in Erie, PA to the late Chester and Loretta Dzeskewicz.
Rose was a 1988 graduate of General McLane High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Edinboro University and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from East Carolina University. She was a member of AANP (American Academy of Nuse Practitioners) and the North Carolina Board of Nursing. After traveling extensively as a nurse, she met her husband in Florida, married him in Pennsylvania, and they moved to North Carolina to raise their family. Rose worked as an advanced practice nurse with North Carolina Nephrology for the past 8 years.
Rose loved to garden and expanded her eclectic flower gardens each year. She loved spending time with her family and traveling, often combining the two into big camping trips, sister’s weekends, and cross-country endeavors. She and her boys most recently completed a tour of Alaska. She considered the beach her “Happy Place.”
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Steven Harnois; three sons, Aidan, Elliot and Alexander Harnois; three brothers Chester (JoAnn Wilson), Phillip, and Stephen (Shelly) Dzeskewicz; four sisters Deanna Dzeskewicz, Lucy (Doug) Lenhardt, Cathy (Tom) Malinchak, and Mari Orlop. Rose loved her many nieces and nephews; Jacky, Aaron, Mattirose, Dustin, Brandon, Corey, Brooke, Jacob, Sabrina, Mari, Madelyn, Gabe, Katie and Joe. She was especially close to her grade school friends Amy, Lynn and Julie; her Rhode Island family Grandma Dot, Deb, Kerry, Duane and special family friends Heather and Julie.
Rose will be returned home for services. Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, PA on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 23rd at 9:30 a.m.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Francis Cemetery.
