Roger E. Brinker, 71, of McKean, PA passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 after an extended illness. Roger was a lifelong resident of the Edinboro and McKean areas and was a graduate of General McLane High School.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Annette R. Brinker, of 39 years, his children, grandchildren and many family members.
Roger worked hard throughout his life to provide for his family. In retirement he enjoyed traveling with Annette to various Caribbean islands. Roger loved the beach and ocean, and he especially treasured his many trips to Disney World and the zoo with his grandchildren. He was a silly and fun Papa who has left his grandchildren with plenty of fun memories. His family and friends will remember him fondly for his love of Hawaiian shirts and honey in his coffee.
Roger was a true friend to many and always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone. Roger and Annette were able to travel to help with disaster relief work after Hurricane Katrina which was a favorite memory and experience for them both.
Roger recognized his spiritual need and after a thorough study of the Bible he dedicated his life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He spent many years in the ministry sharing the good news from the Bible with those in the community. Roger’s life was a gift, and while we miss him dearly, we draw comfort from God’s words at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Roger’s belief in the resurrection gave him hope knowing that death was not the end but a temporary separation. In the future, when paradise is established on earth we will see him again-laughing, sharing stories, and surrounded by the peace that only Jehovah God can provide. Until then, we remember him fondly and look forward to the day when we can be at the beach with him once more.
