Robert Porterfield

Robert Jay Porterfield, 66, of Elkins, WV, formerly of Edinboro, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home.  He was born in Butler, PA on May 5, 1947, the son of the late Orville and Sara (Murphy) Porterfield.
Bob was a graduate of General McLane High School and served in the US Army during Vietnam.
He worked for James Properties, in Edinboro and Armco Steel in Butler, PA. Also, Bob worked for his father at Porterfield Appliance and co-owned two laundry mats and an apartment building.
Survivors include his brother, James Porterfield of Elkins, WV, also, two loving nieces, Tiffany and Blair and a nephew, Scott, and many friends he made wherever he was.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A service will be held there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matt Falco officiating.
