Patrick Michael Nicolia, 44, of Northeast, formerly of Edinboro, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie on April 9, 1972, the son of Michael and Trish Nicolia and Linda and Paul Whiteman.
Pat graduated from General McLane High School in 1990 and furthered his education at Triangle Tech where he received an electrical degree. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, bowling, corn hole and being a father to Patrick, Gregory and Amber. Pat was also a huge fan of the Chicago Bears, as well as a member of the Saint Francis Ushers Club and the Sacred Heart Ushers Club. Pat was a former employee of Ridg-U-Rak, Inc. and Accu-Ride, Inc.
Other than his parents, survivors include his wife, Jennifer (Haaf) Nicolia of Erie; two sons, Patrick D. Nicolia of Edinboro and Gregory W. Nicolia of Erie; a daughter, Amber L. Nicolia of Erie; two brothers, Mark Nicolia (Theresa) of Edinboro and Justin Nicolia of Calif.; two sisters, Stacey Defoy (Artie) of Edinboro and Anastasia Hirschmann (Brad) of Erie; his aunts and uncles including, Cheryl Rockwell (David), Cynthia Morschhauser (Bill), Beth Costolo (Rick) and his beloved grandparents Dee and Char Nicolia. He is also survived by his nephews Bryan Nicolia (Brooke Horvath), A. J. Defoy and James Defoy and his niece, Briana Nicolia (fiancé Brandon Suprynowicz). Extended family and friends were also a big part of Pat's life especially the entire Jan Beal Family.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Saturday, August 20th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
