Patricia A. Swoger

Patricia A. Swoger, 96, of Edinboro, died Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Sarah Reed Senior Living Center. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 8, 1927, the daughter of the late James and Genevieve Swoger. 

Pat graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School and worked as an RN at the Veteran Affairs Medical Centers in Cleveland, Oil City, but mostly in Pittsburgh. She was a member of Edinboro Senior Citizens and Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. 

Pat loved to complete puzzles, sew and cross stitch. She also used to cross-country ski. Pat made sure that family was always first and was given the responsibility of keeping the family together. Her favorite word that she used everyday was “Alleluia”. 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Peter Swoger; and two sisters, Mary Louise Bryan and Janet Rodgers. 

Survivors include a brother, Msgr. John Swoger of Erie and many nieces and nephews.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements. 

Friends may call at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Dr., Edinboro, PA on Monday, March 4, 2024 at     10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
