Naomi Eileen Allison, 77, of Edinboro, formerly of Labeouf Twp, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Edinboro Manor.  She was born in Edinboro on November 3, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas R. and Gladys B. (Jenness) McGahen.
Naomi worked at Erie Resistor on West 12th St. for 22 years. She also worked at the Union City Library for 6 years.
She loved to garden, read and take care of her cats including taking in strays that would come around. She made the best banana bread. Naomi was a gentle soul who will be missed by many people who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Lastinger.
Survivors include her son, Robert Allison and his wife, Naomi, of Edinboro; two daughters, Sharon Halbrook of Ohio, and Sally Cochran and her husband, Rick, also of Ohio; three brothers, Winfield McGahen and his wife Retha, Thomas McGahen and Earl McGahen all of Labeouf Twp; also, six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed.  A memorial service may be held at a later date.
