Nancy E. (Ley) Collins, 93, of Mentor, Oh and formerly of Edinboro, PA, died Wednesday, September 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 16, 1932, the daughter of the late Clemens “Bud” Ley and Faye Dalrymple.
Nancy graduated from Mayfield High School in 1950. She married Lawrence Collins and together they raised six children in the Cleveland area.
Nancy was a gifted singer and shared her gift with the Sweet Adeline's and several church choirs over the years. She enjoyed baking, quilting and attending Glidden Tour events with her father's treasured 1930 LaSalle. While residing in Edinboro, she volunteered for a number of years at Thrifty Threads.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Clemens, Jr. and Glenn Ley; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Collins; and grandchild, Mary Ann Gast.
Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Collins of Mentor, OH, Virginia (Robert) Boley of Ft. Myers FL, Debra (Thomas) Marcinko of McKean, PA, and Karen (Mark) Erdani of Kirtland, OH; two sons, Paul Collins of Mentor, OH and Brian (Jessica) Collins of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Laura, Rebecca, Robert, Aaron, Gretchen, Joshua, Benjamin, Samuel, Chad, Tyler, Zach, Jeffrey, Daniel, Nathaniel, and Zachary; great grandchildren, Sydney, Abby, Wyatt, Ella, Colton, Gwenna, Winston, Milton, Walker, Mary Grace, Shelby, Christopher, Elijah, Angelina, Aiden, Ashton, Emma, Lincoln, Claire, Finley and Greyson; a brother, Weert Ley of Highland Hts, OH; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
To honor Nancy's wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of family. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, has been entrusted with Nancy's care.
