Michael M. Smith, 54, of Edinboro died Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was born in Cleveland, OH on September 11, 1966, the son of the late Mitchell and LaVerne Smith.
Mike served in the US Army for several years, including 15 months overseas in Korea and the Siani Peninsula. He was awarded a number of ribbons and medals and was an expert marksman.
He was a certified welder in North Carolina, and had also worked as a motorcycle mechanic both in North Carolina and locally at Street Track and Trail in Conneaut Lake. He later owned and operated Smith Trucking, Excavating and Snowplowing in Edinboro and most recently was a school bus driver for the General McLane School District.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and loading ammunition. He attended Draketown Christian Church in Edinboro.
Mike is survived by his aunt, Janet Barnes, of Willoughby, OH.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Draketown Christian Church, 12460 Draketown Rd., Edinboro, PA.
