Mary Jane Charney, 72, of McKean, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born in West Monterey, PA on December 31, 1942, the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Horner.
Mary was a wonderful women who loved her family very much, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, cooking her famous pancakes, baking and watching the birds.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Craig Horner, and a sister, Janet Frasier.
Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Raymond Bud Charney; a daughter, Patricia Cameroni and her husband, David, of Edinboro; a son, Steve Charney of Venango; three sisters, Lillian Rettig, Norma (Hilton) Drayer, Linda (Don) Corbett; two brothers, Darrell (Joann) Horner, and Larry (Sally) Horner; also two grandchildren, Shannon (Brian) King and Brandon (Janelle Messinger) Cameroni; 6 great-grandchildren, Devin, Brandi, Abby, Mia, Kaleb, Ella Rae, and her cat Patches.
No calling hours or services will be held per Mary's wishes.
