Mark A. Stuyvesant, 78, of Cranesville, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Greenville, PA on January 4, 1943, the son of the late Dale and Elinor Stuyvesant.
Mark graduated from Greenville High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After that he earned a bachelor's degree from Edinboro University, majoring in secondary education. He previously worked as a service representative for Manpower, Inc., for 3 years and then as a forklift operator at General Electric, retiring after more than 30 years.
Mark loved spending time with family and making people laugh. He enjoyed reading and staying up to date on current affairs, and had a special interest in street rods and antique cars. He also was a member of the Federated Church and Edinboro American Legion Post #439.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Stuyvesant and sister, Glenda Stuyvesant.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 46 years, Stephanie; son, Mark Stuyvesant II, of Cranesville; daughter, Leanne (Ryan) Sturm, of Cambridge Springs; and two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Colton Sturm.
Friends may call at the Federated Church, 11995 Main St, East Springfield, PA 16411 on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
