Madelyn Marion Sturm, 97, of Edinboro, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Erie, on February 6, 1915. Daughter of the late Ray E and Rose Ruf Morgan.
Madelyn graduated from Academy High School in 1932. She married her husband Vaughn W. Sturm on April 2, 1948. Madelyn worked as a custodian at General McLane High School, but was also a proud homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Vaughn W. Sturm, son Kenneth L. Morgan, her grandson, Nathan V. Sturm and her sister Evelyn Morgan.
Survivors include her son, William R. Sturm of Edinboro; four daughters, Norma Benedict of Hughesville, PA; Myra Bowers of Finley Lake, NY; Linda Rice of Lake City; and Lori Suey of Edinboro; 18 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of the service at 8:30 p.m., with Rev. Brian Kelly officiating.
