Kevin Charles McCaslin, 54, of McKean, formerly of Edinboro and Girard, died Monday, January 18, 2016 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, on June 12, 1961, the son of Russell A. McCaslin and Eleanor (Otterni) Peggs.
Kevin graduated from General McLane High School in the class of 1979. He attended Edinboro University and majored in Conservation.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and walking through the woods. Kevin loved his dogs, Hunter and Sassy.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Sharp of Girard; three sons, Matthew (Alaysha) McCaslin of West Middlesex, PA, Buxton McCaslin, and Silas McCaslin and their mother, Kim Peters McCaslin, all of Girard; three grandchildren, Evan McCaslin, Claire McCaslin and Gunner Sharpe; three brothers, Randall McCaslin of Edinboro, Ryan McCaslin of McKean and Scott Peggs of NY; a sister, Jennifer Peggs of NY, his step-mother, Phyllis McCaslin of McKean; step brothers, Randal Krautter of Indiana, Greg, and Ronald Krautter of Edinboro; two aunts, Gerry McCaslin of McKean, Gloria Felton of Arkansas and his good friend, Pam; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and are invited to attend memorial services there following with Rev. Barb English officiating.
