Karen A. Culbertson, 59, of Edinboro, died January 31, 2026 at UPMC Hamot after a brief illness. She was born in Erie on May 7, 1966, the daughter of the late Norman and Elsie Lemke.
Karen graduated from Seneca High School in the class of 1984. She also attended Edinboro University of PA. She had worked in multiple positions at Edinboro University and SCI Albion.
Karen loved cooking for family and friends, listening to music and spending time with her loved ones.
Other than her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Lemke; a sister Nancy Jo Engman; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Herky Culbertson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 34 years, Paul Culbertson; two sons, Calvin (Kaitlyn) Culbertson of Pittsburgh and Wyatt Culbertson of Edinboro; a daughter, Kara Culbertson of Edinboro; two brothers, Frederick and Gregory Lemke of Erie; two sisters, Barbara Lemke of Erie and Mary (Barry) Cole of Brownstown, MI; two brothers-in-law, Mark (Sandy) Almazon and Edward Almazon, both of Edinboro; a sister-in-law, Missy (Toney) Wofford of Edinboro; also five nieces, Dawn (Paul) White of Erie, Beth Hoida of Marinette, WI, Jacqualynn (Kyle) Stitch of Rochester, NY, Erin and Alyssa Cole of Brownstown, MI; and five nephews, Ron (Katie) Geer of Erie, Kenny (Melanie) Geer of Sandy, OR, Gregory Lemke, Jr. of Erie, Chip (Shawna) McKibbens of Edinboro and Brandon (K-Lynn) McKibbens also of Edinboro.
Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A service will be held at the First Church of God, 634 Venango Ave, Cambridge Springs, PA on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11 a.m.
