It is with multiple broken hearts that we announce the passing of James William Considine on March 18, 2026.
James was born on January 16, 1957, the son of the late John and Ruth Considine. He was a 1975 graduate of Twin Tech in Erie. After graduation, he began his career at Dahlkemper Landscapers, learning the love and art of landscaping. He moved on to become a partner in Creative Landscaping, and finally owner and operator of Precision Landscaping. He ended his working days as a shift manager for Country Fair.
He enjoyed landscaping, hiking, camping and water skiing, and especially being the “fun” uncle. He was a member of Presque Isle Ski Club.
James was a devout Catholic and a member of St. George Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his brother, Jack and his wife, Cindy, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Survivors include a brother, Jerry (Cheryl) Considine of Indiana; two sisters, Judy (George) Kopec of Erie and Cathy (David) Stemmler of Edinboro; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will especially be missed by his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “UJ”. He will be loved and missed forever.
Per his request, no calling hours will be observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 11 AM at St. George Roman Catholic Church, 5154 Peach St., Erie PA.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is entrusted with funeral arrangements.
Burial of ashes will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society (American Cancer Society), the American Heart Association (heart.org), or the Erie Humane Society (eriehumanesociety.org).
The family would like to sincerely thank the members of the AseraCare Hospice team who were there with James during some difficult days. Their deep concern, excellent care and total commitment to his comfort were immeasurable. They were his angels here on earth.
