Jack G. Koon, Jr., 51, of Waterford, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Malone, NY on March 6, 1962, the son of Jack G. and Jane (Campbell) Koon, Sr.
He was a 1980 graduate of General McLane High School. Jack worked for 25 years at Modern Industries, in Erie. He also worked for a year with his uncle at Koon's Garage. He loved music, nature photography and his cats.
Other than his parents, survivors include his sister, Kandi Koon and his “adopted brother” Jason Powell; also by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special appreciation to neighbors Judy and David Babbitt, his hospice family and St. Vincent Hospital for their care and concern.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Dan Hoffman officiating.
Burial will be in Washington Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 1245 Park Ave, Meadville, PA 16335.
