Harry Skalko

April 7, 1920 — March 3, 2011

Harry Skalko, 90, of Cambridge Springs, died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the V.A.M.C of Erie. He was born in Edinboro, PA on April 7, 1920. Son of the late Samuel and Mary Capp Skalko.
Harry was proud to serve in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Cambridge Springs American Legion, the VFW in Venango, and the Cambridge Springs Senior Center. Harry also volunteered at the Edinboro Food Pantry.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Skalko, four brothers, Nick, John, Peter and Daniel Skalko; and his grandson, Michael Wilson.
Survivors include his son, Jerry A. Skalko and his wife Renie of East Springfield; daughter Linda A. Wilson and her companion Ron Bauer of Edinboro; brother, Joe Skalko and his wife Betty of Edinboro; three sisters, Kay Miller and her husband Don of Florida; Mary Perkins of Georgia; and Ellen Bridges of Georgia; also three grandchildren, Alisha Skalko and Shawn and Angela Wilson.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. until the time of the service at 8:30 p.m.
