Georgiann Knight

Georgiann U. “Georgi” Knight, 77 of Edinboro died Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at home. She was born in Buffalo, NY on March 22, 1944, the daughter of the late George and Gretchen Schramm.

Georgi graduated with an Associate Degree from Bryant Stratton Business College in Buffalo. After a few years in secretarial positions in the Buffalo area, she moved to Los Angeles, where she worked as a hostess in the American Airlines Admiral's Club at Los Angeles International Airport, which afforded her many opportunities for interaction with legendary figures in the entertainment world. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed gardening, skiing and jewelry making. She was a member of Edinboro United Methodist Church.

A marvelous cook and gracious hostess, Georgi had a vivacious personality that brightened any gathering. Her wonderful sense of humor and infectious laughter will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband, David Knight; a daughter, Melissa McKee of Phoenix, AZ; three sons, James Knight of Edinboro, Charles Knight of San Diego, CA and Alan (Michelle) Tanner of Tuscon, AZ; 4 grandchildren, Alexander and Sarah McKee and Ryan and Dana Tanner; a sister, Suzanne (John) Cudmore of Buffalo, NY; a niece, Jane Cudmore and nephew, William Cudmore, also of Buffalo.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. All CDC guidelines requiring face masks and social distancing will be in place.
