Francis “Frank” Baumgarten, 77, of Edinboro, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2010 at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 16, 1932, son of the late Francis A and Ruth Miller Baumgarten.
Frank was the proud owner of Liana's Lake Park in Edinboro, and also a lifetime member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Delores “Dollee” Dobson Baumgarten, and his brother James Baumgarten.
Survivors include his daughter Liana Thayer and her husband John of Franklin Township, and his grandson Shaun Thayer also of Franklin Township.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Until the time of the service at 7:30 p.m.. The service will be officiated by Dennis C. Chludzinski.
Burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Regional Cancer Center, 2500 West 12th Street, Erie, PA 16505, or to the Franklin Township Fire Department, 10411 Route 98, Edinboro, PA 16412.
