Emma Rossbacher Williams died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Forestview Skilled Nursing Center.  She was born in Corry, on February 8, 1936,  the daughter of the late Edward and Elsie Rossbacher.
She graduated from Corry High School, earned her Bachelors Degree in Education in 1958 majoring in English and Library Science from Clarion State Teachers College. She also earned a Masters Degree from Case Western Reserve University with a major in Library Science.
Immediately upon her graduation from Clarion, she was employed by Edinboro State Teachers College, now Edinboro University of PA, as a professional librarian. She held this position until she retired in the mid 1970's. For many years, while employed by Edinboro, she was the first faculty adviser to the Delta Zeta Sorority, and served on many committees, including the College Faculty Senate.
She was also very actively involved in many community organizations including; the Heather Garden Club of Edinboro where she served many terms as president; District VIII of the PA Garden Club Federation; the EUP Woman's Assoc., where she also served several times as president; the EUP Lunch Brunch Group; Delta Kappa Gamma Society for Key Women Educators; the fund raising committee to build a new Edinboro Community Library; past secretary for the the Greater Edinboro Area Resources Committee; she organized the creation of the monthly Edinboro Community Calendar and was the person who prepared the information and distributed the calendars to businesses and individuals.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack in 2013, whom she married on October 5, 1963, a sister, Dina Rossbacher of Buffalo, and a niece, Stacy Jacobs of Fairview.
Survivors include a sister, Nadine (Donald) Chase of Fairview, a niece Robin Whitmeyer of Columbus Ohio and a nephew Dirk Chase of Girard.
No calling hours or memorial service will be observed.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Emma Williams' Single Parent Scholarship Fund at Edinboro University of PA, 219 Meadville St., Edinboro, PA 16444.
