Eleanor Frances (Tacik) Zelina, 85, of Edinboro and Highland Country Estates, DeBary, FL, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014 at Golden Living Center–Western Reserve in Erie.  She was born in New Middletown, OH on May 31, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph B. and Frances M. Nikolosko Tacik.
She graduated from Springfield Twp High School, Petersburg, OH in 1947. Later attended art school and painted portraits at a local photography studio. Eleanor then  moved to Erie, in 1957 and was involved with her husband Frank, Sr. in ALPS Manufacturing Co. and ALPS Realty Co. for 40 years.
She was a founding member of Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church and also a member of Our Lady of the Lake Parish in Edinboro.
She enjoyed dancing, collecting antiques and art, gardening and especially spending winters with her late husband, Frank, Sr., at their Florida winter home.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank J. Zelina, Sr.; two sisters, Anne D. Sasser and Helen F. Baskey; and a brother, Paul J. Tacik.
She was the loving mother of one son, Frank J. Zelina, Jr. and his wife Beth of Lake City, and the loving mother of one daughter, Francine M. Zelina Steele and her husband, David, of Edinboro; five loving grandchildren, Madelon E. Zelina, Anna F. Zelina, Franklin L. Steele, Jonathan A. Steele and Roslyn M. Steele; also, many nieces and nephews.
She was a generous, friendly, giving person, who dedicated numerous volunteer hours to St. Joseph's Orphanage.  She was especially devoted to her family and enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. She will be deeply missed.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A prayer service will be held on        Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Hoffman officiating.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Drive, Edinboro, PA 16412.
