Dorothy Pavkov, 92, of McKean, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville. She was born in Erie on October 25, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Lola Nick.
Dorothy graduated high school from Academy High in Erie. She married her husband Milan “Sy” Pavkov on May 1, 1945. Other than raising a wonderful family, Dorothy worked side by side with her husband on the family dairy farm. She was a long time member of the McLane Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Milan “Sy” Pavkov; 2 brothers, Richard and Robert Nick and a sister, Myrtle Regenold.
Survivors include a daughter, Patti (Peter) Held of Cambridge Springs; two sons; John (Kathy) Pavkov and Jack (Cheryl) Pavkov, all of McKean; five grandchildren; Heather Meyers, John Pavkov, Bryn (Khoi) Nguyen, Jacob (Tiffany Senkow) and Nathan Held and four great-grandchildren; Michael Cochran, Lucian Nguyen, Zachary and Allie Meyers; and four sister-in-laws; Delores Nick, Sally Harrison, Nancy Pavkov, and Joyce Reynolds.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 1 pm until the time of a funeral service at 2 pm with Rev. David Acker officiating.
