Dorothy Flood

Dorothy “Pat” Flood, died Sunday, November 25, 2012 at home.  She was born in Summerfield, KS on September 30, 1928,  daughter of the late Harry and Junia Brees Patterson.
Mrs. Flood was the secretary and dispatcher for the Edinboro Police Department for sixteen years.  Previously she was a secretary for the Lincoln, Nebraska, Chamber of Commerce.  She received her police training at Mercyhurst College.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Wilbur Patterson, and her son-in-law, Norman Duncan, of Cambridge Springs.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Gordon Flood; one daughter, Susan Duncan of Conneautville; four sons, David Flood and his wife Vickie of Buford, GA; Gary Flood and his wife, Ladora, of Canal Winchester, Ohio; Mark Flood and his wife, Nadine, of Fredericksburg, VA; Jon Flood and his wife, Patty, of Cambridge Springs; two brothers, Harold Patterson and his wife, Norma, of Omaha, NE; Richard Patterson and his wife, Linda, of Nashville, TN; two sisters, Alberta Truax of Lincoln, NE; and Dolores Jacobs, of Lincoln, NE; twelve grandchildren; Ericka, Jaymie, Stephanie, Eric, Kelly, Caleb, Daniel, Jacob, Hannah, Grace, Catherine and Sean; seven great-granchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed.  A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Glunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Flood's arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Pat and Gordon Flood Music Endowment, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
