Denise Minor

Denise Helene Minor, 69, of Edinboro, died March 26, 2018 at Kane Regional Center in Scott Township, after a courageous 10 month battle with cancer. She was born in Meadville on December 6, 1948, the daughter of the late William and Helen White.

Denise enjoyed her family immensely and flourished in her roles as mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events, school activities and dance recitals. She also enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh sports teams, crossword puzzles, Words With Friends, and was an avid reader. Her other passion was teaching, where she spent over 30 years working with students in school districts in Pennsylvania and Ohio.

She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1981 and the Shadbush Club of Edinboro. Denise was also a member of the Edinboro United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Heather) Minor, of Pittsburgh and Todd (April) Minor, of Severna Park, Maryland; a step-daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Safreed of Antioch, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Halie, Colin, Jackson and Lincoln; 3 great grandchildren, Connor, Matthew and Gracie; and many nieces and nephews. She was a beloved wife to the late Edwin Thomas Winter, who lost his life protecting this country, and then again she showed incredible compassion with the late David William Minor, as she cared for him in his time of need.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, March 30, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. and are invited to attend a memorial service there at 4 p.m., with Pastor Lisa Grant officiating.
