Debra Louise Long, 57, of Girard, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. Debbie was born in Oil City on October 7, 1954, daughter of Elizabeth Louise Peterson Motter and the late Everett Eugene Motter.
Debbie was a member of the Lake Erie Christian Fellowship Church.  After graduating from General McLane High School, she attended Edinboro University, and recently graduated at the top of her class gaining her associates degree in Medical Billing and Coding. She worked as the hotel manager at multiple Red Roof Inns, and was also a team leader in the retail industry. She was recently employed at Blair Inc., working as a customer service representative.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roderick (Rick) Long and her father Everett Motter.
Survivors include her mother Elizabeth (Betty) Motter, of McKean; sister Beverly Sonnenberg (Eric) of Mckean; brother Steven Motter (Karen) of Girard; niece Erica Schweiger (Patrick), nephew Jake Sonnenberg, nieces; Rachael Motter-Wright (Dustin) , Destiny and Heather Motter; great-nephew Carson Schweiger, who always put a smile on her face; dear friend Betty Percy; sister-in-law Kim Flaville (Ray); and nephews Shawn, Jason and Ryan Flaville.
Debbie enjoyed golf, a good game of cards, a cold Pepsi and vacations at the shore with her family.  She was a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Some of her fondest memories were with her late husband Rick, and some of her greatest joy and laughter came from her nieces and nephews.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but leaves us with good memories that will be shared for years to come.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A service will be held there on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Howard Shouse officiating.
Burial will be in Valley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to McKean Hose Company, 5011 School Street, McKean, PA 16426 or the ANNA Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511.
