Deborah Terhune

Deborah Lin Warnshuis Terhune, 43, of Edinboro went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at McGee Womens Hospital of UPMC. She was born in Erie on September 26, 1967, the daughter of Richard B. and Linda M. Scouten Warnshuis.
As a child, she accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Edinboro. Growing up on a dairy farm, she was involved in 4H showing cows. At General McLane High School, she participated in the band and National Honor Society. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in nursing in 1989 from Cedarville College. While in college, she took a mission trip to Israel with the brass choir and served as a camp counselor, nurse, and a cook at Bethany Baptist Camp. After graduation she served others in the nursing profession at Hamot Hospital, Great Lakes Rehabilitation Center and the Edinboro Manor. Upon completion of her masters degree in nursing from Edinboro University, she accepted a teaching position at Mercyhurst College of Northeast as a nursing professor. She also served others at Millcreek Community Hospital. Throughout her life she loved to serve others because of her faith in Christ. She loved to sing and worship God at church. She was a member at Grace Church. She is now in heaven with God.
Survivors include husband of 3 years, Anthony G. Terhune; two sons, Jacob and James Thompson both at home; a daughter, Elizabeth Thompson also at home; three brothers, Mark Warnshuis and his wife Cheryl, of Erie, John Warnshuis and his wife Jeanette, of Michigan and James Warnshuis and his wife Jill, of Florida; and a paternal grandfather, Burton Warnshuis of Flordia.
Friends may call at the Grace Church, 7300 Grubb Road, McKean, PA , on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., also Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of a celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Al Detter officiating
Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to a trust fund for the children c/o the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA 16412.
