David L. “Day Day” Diehl of Fairview, passed away peacefully at the young age of 61 on Friday, March 6, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 29, 1964 in Conneaut, Ohio.
David graduated from Northwestern High School in 1982 with a Tool and Die degree from Erie County Technical School. He worked at several different mold shops, then in 1994 he founded Reliant Molding located in Cranesville, Pennsylvania, in which he was still running up until his last days.
David was easily recognized and remembered by his famous mullet that he had since 2000. He had passion in anything he took interest in, including watching movies (mainly scary) and listening to music with his grandchildren. He was also an avid collector of anything he enjoyed, including watches, toys, trinkets and pens, just to name a few.
He was preceded in death by his father, David G. Diehl, his granddaughter, Addalie Diehl and his father-in-law, James Connor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Julie Diehl; his mother, Judy Diehl; two sons, Addison Diehl and Ashton (Ashley) Diehl; two daughters, Ariel (Jesse) Grimm and Alyssa (Anthony) Zampino; a brother, Brian (Stephanie) Diehl; two sisters, Lori (Greg) Adamson and Connie (Paul) Petrianni; his mother-in-law, Eva Joyce Connor; followed by grandchildren, Avrey, Ryland, Trayton, Sara, Hunter, Oliver, Rachel, Max, Daylen, and Lennox; also several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send a huge thank you to Aseracare Hospice of Erie and our special aides Lisa, Sue and Jen. We could not have gotten through this time without everyone's help.
No services will be held at this time. The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc, Edinboro, is entrusted with arrangements
