David Harrison

David Harrison, son of the late Jim and Shirley Harrison of Edinboro, PA, passed away on October 30, 2012 following an extended illness.  He was 63.  Dave is survived by his daughter Cory Harrison of North Augusta, SC, his brother and sister-in-law Mike and Cathy Harrison of Reston, VA, and his niece Bridget Harrison of Centreville, VA. Dave graduated from General McLane High School, Edinboro, PA. He also received degrees from Edinboro University, the University of Florida, and the University of South Carolina. Dave grew up on Edinboro Lake, was active in high school sports, and for many years was a camper at Sunset Camps, owned and operated by his late grandparents Sox and Fret Harrison. He attended Woodstock Festival in 1969, student-taught in Honduras, enjoyed playing poker with his buddies, and worked in educational systems in South Carolina for many years. A private service will be held.  Glunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of arrangements.  Memorial contributions in Dave’s name may be directed to the Sox Harrison Scholarship Fund, Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA 16412, or the Hurry Hill Maple Museum, 11424 Fry Road, Edinboro, PA 16412.
