Danny Roe Cullers, 75 of Columbus, PA, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the VA Community Living Center in Erie, PA following a battle with Parkinson’s and is now causing a ruckus in Heaven. He was born in Springboro, PA on May 21, 1947, the son of the late Ward Adrian Cullers and Minnie Ann (Ashe) Copeland. Danny previously lived in Jefferson, OH with his long-term partner, Barb Battista, who survives at home.
Danny graduated from Conneaut Valley High School in 1965, where he was voted class clown. He served as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at General Motors, where he retired from.
Danny was known for his love of hunting, Penn State football, golf, western movies, an insatiable appetite, and throwing back a few beers. He also enjoyed NASCAR racing and cheering on the Biff, riding his Harley, Kid Rock, and there was nothing he could not fix. He was an avid dart player and was part of the Ashtabula Dart League for several years. Anyone that knew him, knew he was fearless and that once he set his mind to something, it became a reality. In the winter months he enjoyed snowmobiling and was the Trail Boss for the Grand River Trailriders. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and NRA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Cullers and sister-in-law, LaRae Cullers.
Danny is survived by his three sons, Greg Cullers of Las Vegas, NV, Jeffrey Cullers (Jennifer) of Columbus, PA, and Joe Cullers of Spring Creek, PA. He leaves behind his three brothers Larry (Maude) Cullers of Springboro, PA, Phillip (Patricia) Cullers of Erie, PA and Dale (Sherry) Cullers of Jefferson, OH. Danny had 4 special grandchildren, Adison Cullers of Warren, PA and Maddelynn, Roland, and Rhett Cullers of Columbus, PA in addition to friend and mother of his children, Bobbe Cullers, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, PA on Friday, February 10, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral and military honors will directly follow the visitation at 4 pm. Friends are invited to join in a celebration of life following the funeral at the Edinboro McKean VFW Post 740, 10613 PA-98, Edinboro, PA.
