Catherine Bozek

Catherine May Bozek, 91, of Erie, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in Rome, NY on July 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Josephine Foley.
Catherine raised three children during her life along with also driving Powder Puff Race Cars at the old Kuhl Road Speedway. She loved to read and to watch the small birds outside her window.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Wentz.
Survivors include her son, Michael John Bozek and his wife, Peggy, of Minnesota; her daughter, Margaret Green, and her husband, Kenneth, of Saegertown; and 12 grandchildren, Tammy Waldo, Mark McFarland, Jamie Roberts, Becky Lassila, Brenda Bozek, Beth Samy, Brandi Bozek, Tina McGee, Loretta Gaydos, Pamela Lauer, Kenneth and Samuel Green; also 22 great-grandchildren.
Friends may gather at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of a short memorial service at 7:30 p.m. with Fr. Bill Sutherland officiating.
