Bonnie Borland Langill, was born in Erie, August 8, 1949 and after an 11 year battle with cancer, passed on to God's care at home, surrounded by her family and the loving support of many. Bonnie graduated from General McLane in 1967, attended Wooster College, and graduated from Edinboro University in 1970. She passed on December 8, 2015.

Bonnie taught in the General McLane School District, retiring after 36 years. Bonnie loved teaching and her skill was a creative gift to her students. She extended this love and passion to the Children and Youth ministry of the Edinboro United Methodist Church. She also shared the gift of her voice by singing with the church choir.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Ghering Borland Uht, Richard Borland and step-father Donald Uht. Bonnie was the grand-daughter of Dr. Harold and Elenora Ghering of Edinboro. There were many aunts, uncles and cousins of the Ghering, Borland and Langill families showing her the path to peace and comfort as well.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 34 years Fred Langill. She is also survived by her children, Erica (Langill) Rushing and her husband, Brian, of Edinboro, Gunnery Sgt. Brandon Langill, USMC, and his wife, Elizabeth, (Liz Shrefler) Langill, of Virginia Beach, VA, Victoria (Tori Langill) Vollbrecht, her husband, Erik, of Ross Twp./ Pittsburgh, PA., Janette Langill, Arlington, Mass and Kenneth Langill Reilly, Litchfield, CT. Additionally, there are aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the country in the Ghering, Borland and Langill families saddened by her loss.

Bonnie and Fred have the joy of 4 grand-sons, Wyatt (2 yrs) and Owen (6 mos.) Langill, and Hayden (8 yrs) and Ryan (2 yrs) Vollbrecht.

Her faith, her will, her strength and determination got her through the years of many medical challenges, and her unlimited tolerance was her best gift to me throughout our lives together. She will be greatly loved and missed, forever and always. Fred Langill and family.”

Memorial gathering will be held at the Edinboro United Methodist Church, 113 High St., Edinboro, on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 9:30 am until a Celebration of Life begins at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lisa Grant officiating.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
