Anne Marie (Pekelnicky) Sayers, 57, born November 18, 1957, passed away at home on April 17, 2015 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of Margaret Olesnanik Pekelnicky and the late Stanley A. Pekelnicky.

She graduated with honors from General McLane High School in 1975 and Summa Cum Laude from Gannon University in 1978 with an Associate of Science Degree in Radiation Sciences.

She was a member of A.S.R.T. & A.R.R.T.

She was employed as an X-Ray Technician by St. Vincent Health Center, Drs. John and Carol Lyons, Health South and finally Tri-State Pain Institute from where she retired in 2009.

Her interests ranged from photography to flower and vegetable gardening to craft shows and traveling by motorcycle. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and oldest brother, Stanley P. Pekelnicky.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Timothy Sayers; along with her mother, she is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Thomas of Gibsonia, Carl and his wife, Martha, of East Springfield, Michael of McKean, James and his wife, Noreen, of McKean, Susan Barry and her husband, William, of Fairview, MaryLou McCray and her husband, Michael of Corry, John and his wife, Lynette of Edinboro, Joseph and his wife, Stephanie, of Edinboro, Robert and his wife, Roberta of Cranesville; a sister in law, Rosemary Pekelnicky of McKean; also, many nieces, nephews, great niece and great nephews.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A service will be held there on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marshall Lillie officiating.

Burial will be in Valley Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Crawford County, Inc., 464 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335 or  the Regional Cancer Center Benevolence Fund, 2500 W 12th St, Erie, PA 16505.  To send condolences please visit www.gluntfuneralhome.com.
