Angeline “Jean” M. Doan, 88, of Edinboro, PA, died Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Edinboro on March 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Caroline Surovick.
Angeline graduated from Albion Area High School in 1957. She previously worked as a nurses aide at San Rosario Nursing Home in Cambridge Springs, and as a machinist at Albion Elements.
She enjoyed knitting and was known for her beautiful gardens that people would drive to visit. Caring for her grandchildren was her greatest joy.
She was a long time member of St. Philip Church in Crossingville, and had attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Bud” in 1998; her daughter, Cynthia Parobek; five brothers, Rudolph, Victor, Stephen, Edward and Joseph; and six sisters, Ann, Helen, Rose, Agnes, Nancy and Veronica.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Michael) Cannata of Edinboro and Michele (Pete) Moore of Kittanning, PA; a sister, Marie Presogna; six grandchildren, Amber (Brad) Martin, Ashley Tyler (fiancé Justin), Alicia Parobek (fiancé Jake), Emma Cannata, Isabella Cannata, and Therion Moore; and four great grandchildren, Brooke and Chloe Martin, Bailey Garwood, and Landon Leicht.
Friends may call at Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, PA on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 25797 Route 98, Edinboro, PA
Burial will be private in St. James Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Dr., Edinboro, PA 16412 or St. Lawrence Church, 180 East State St., Albion, PA 16401. To leave condolences, please sign the GuestBook below.
