Robert James Campbell, 79, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Edinboro Manor. He was born in Edinboro on April 28, 1937, the son of the late Paul and Irene Campbell.

As a direct descendant of the original settlers of Edinboro Bob was an avid outdoors man who loved gardening, hunting and fishing. Bob resided in Edinboro his entire life. The last 12 years at Edinboro Manor.

He worked as a Plasterer throughout Erie and neighboring counties with D. A. Hill Co., Moyak Construction and through the Union for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by five brothers and a sister; Lewis, Eugene, Jack, Frank, Art Campbell and Ann Mickel.

Survivors include, a daughter, Misty Knaus (Kevin) of Edinboro, three sons, Chris Campbell (Sharon) of Greenville, Bret Campbell (Kelly) of Edinboro and John Campbell (Lisa) of Bel Aire, MD; nine grandchildren, Sharon Evans, Patrick Knaus, Emma, Aimee and Claire Campbell, all of Edinboro; Jacob and Autumn Campbell, of Greenville; Tricia Hubbard, of MD and Michael Campbell, of D.C. He was also blessed with 7 1/2 great grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by five brothers, Lawrence and William Campbell of Dade City, FL, Paul Campbell of AZ, George and Jerry Campbell of Edinboro; two sisters, Marie Helmbreck of Edinboro and Genevieve Echols of AZ.

No calling hours or services will be held.
