Jennifer Thaler, 42, of Albion, died Saturday, December 30, 2017 in the arms of her loving mother and step-father. She was born in Erie, Pa on October 1, 1975, the daughter of Denise Brown Phillips and the late David James Thaler, Sr.
Jennifer enjoyed life. If a day was bad, she would make it good. She loved going to see her Gramma; they would play games, cards or read.
She loved her fiancé, who battled cancer at a young age and beat it. Jennifer took care of him for 2 weeks when he suffered a stroke in 2016. In May 2017, Brian passed away, and part of Jennifer went with him.
She loved to do crafts and was featured on “YouTube”.
Jennifer did not know she had cancer until December 16, 2017. She made up her mind she was going to fight this as hard as she could. She left the hospital on December 28th to stay with her mother and step-father until she was supposed to go to the Regional Cancer Center on January 4, 2018.
She was preceded in death by fiance, Brian Gerber; grandparents, Wensel Brown, Gertrude and Joseph Thaler; and her 2 cats, Chance and Momma.
Survivors include a brother; David (Elizabeth Ruzak) Thaler, Jr. of Erie; a step-brother, Brian (Angie) Phillips of Bowling Green, KY; a step-sister, Candy (Mark) Graves of Florida; also a great aunt and uncle, Charlie (Dorothy) Brown of Erie.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, January 4, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service there at 8:00 p.m., with Rev. John Hall officiating.
Burial of ashes will be at a later date at McLane Cemetery.
